WE ARE HIRING!!

Wellness Consultant: $19-23/hr

In this position, you will be providing in-person test administration of client Dexa Body Composition Tests using a DEXA scanner in both our store-front in Sorrento Valley AND mobile testing unit, occasional VO2 Max Testing, Resting Metabolic Rate Testing, DNA Testing, Site-Specific Bone Density Testing, and the portrayal of test results tailored to the client’s personal health and fitness goals.

Availability:

Set Office Hours-
Friday: 8am to 4pm
Saturday: 7:30am to 3:30pm
Monday: 8am to 4pm

Mobile Hours-
Potential Flexibility to work Tuesday-Thursday for mobile events.

This position will start out at a minimum of 20-24 hours per week with the potential to transition into a full-time role as the opportunity arises.

How accurate is a scan for body composition? Equipment accuracy and calibration are fairly common questions or sometimes concerns, particularly when someone doesn’t necessarily believe or want to believe their results are what they are whether a baseline or comparative analysis. Nonetheless, we welcome questions regarding accuracy, calibration, if it's calibrated or how it's calibrated and have outlined the facts in our latest blog post!

Do you know your true physical fitness level or better yet, your CRF score, aka VO2 Max?

"Cardiorespiratory Fitness (CRF) may soon be considered a vital sign on par with blood pressure and heart rate" (Harvard Health).

In fact, the American Heart Association also published an official statement suggesting clinicians regularly measure CRF and consider it a vital sign.

Your cardiorespiratory fitness is kind of a big deal and like many body functions, it can be improved over time. Increased activity and consistent exercise is the key. Your body and organs need healthy, consistent movement, folks!

The best way to measure CRF and aerobic fitness is with a VO2 Max, which gauges how well your heart, lungs, and muscles function. It's also known as the peak volume of oxygen your body uses under intense exercise. And if you didn't know, the more oxygen you can consume, the more calories you can burn. 💪
