Every time I watch this video I can’t help but smile with pride in my incredible team. Fall prevention is a skill that requires coordination and grace. It’s not just about preventing an accident. It’s about learning how to protect your body when you fall and gracefully get back up.

And by the way the average age of my class is over 80 years old!

Site specific pain is often created by compensations. As such, instead of directing a physical therapist to treat a rotator cuff or patella tendon the physical therapy prescription can be written as follows.

Physical Therapy to evaluate and treat ___________ secondary to:
1. Postural Asymmetry
2. Muscle Sequencing Patterns

In order to restore full range of motion in flexion/extension, side bending, rotation, and circumduction we have to take a step back and look at how the body functions as a unit.
