Still thinking about the incredible connections made at last week! 🍏

It was such a treat to catch up with Tiffany Law at IEI and talk with Superintendents about how we can move the needle on teacher retention. We are pushing for systemic change by proving that educator mental health is the foundation of a healthy school system. 📈🍏
The proof is in the data: educators participating in are over 6x more likely to stay in the profession!

I also loved getting to connect with Houston Kraft of . His focus on kindness and character fits perfectly with the heart of Happy Teacher Revolution and it is so inspiring to find fellow changemakers on a mission to support the humans behind the desks. 🤝

Reflecting on last week at ! 🍏
I spent some time presenting the heart and soul of Happy Teacher Revolution and it felt so good to be in a room full of people ready to prioritize the “person behind the profession.”

We talked about moving away from just studying burnout and instead looking at what actually makes us stay. The proof is in the numbers. Educators who participated in HTR are over 6x more likely to stay in the profession for 3 or more years! 📈

This work is how we move the needle. We are pushing for systemic change by proving that educator mental health is the foundation of a healthy school system.

I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be presenting at the ASU + GSV Summit next week! I’ll be leading a session titled: “Happy Teacher Revolution: The Retention Solution for EdTech Implementation.”

In a world of rapid innovation, we often forget that the most important “hardware” in any classroom is the teacher. If we want EdTech to succeed...we have to support the people implementing it.

The strongest villages are built by the women who refuse to settle for the status quo🍏

If it takes a village to raise a child, the real revolution lies in how we support and sustain the ones who lead that village. For me, that support comes from the brilliant community of authors and leaders I am lucky enough to stand alongside this Women’s History Month.

I am so incredibly proud to see Happy Teacher Revolution on the shelf with powerhouse works like STEM for All by Leena Bakshi McLean, Ed.D and Healing for Leadership by Antoinette Gutierrez, Ed. D. These women are proving that equity and emotional intelligence are the true foundations of a resilient school system.

The revolution continues with the practical classroom wisdom of and in Teachables and Tools for Classroom Instruction, as well as the strategic brilliance of Renae Bryant, Ed.D. and Lynette White in The Ed Branding Book. STEM is for ALL, and so is Well-Being. 🍏💡
I just returned from the leadership symposium, and the biggest takeaway is clear: the liberation of our students through inclusive, powerful STEM education is inextricably linked to the well-being of their teachers. You cannot have one without the other.
This conference wasn’t just about curriculum; it was about disrupting systemic “cognitive redlining” and tackling the urgency culture that leads to burnout. True equity requires a systemic shift that gives educators the support (and quiet time!) they need to move from “manager mode” into creative “maker mode.”

We love this message from 🍏: As you step into the new year, I hope you carry with you the reminder that you are enough. You don’t have to pour from an empty cup, and you don’t have to do it all to make a difference.

May you find calm in the chaos, balance in your days, and time for yourself too. May your voice be heard, your efforts seen, and your students feel that they belong because of the space you create for them.

Most of all, may you always know your impact matters... even on the hardest days, even when it doesn’t feel like it.
