The full-day Opioid Response Network (ORN) Regional Nursing Summit is designed for registered nurses, nurse practitioners, licensed vocational/practical nurses, and healthcare professionals working in substance use disorder (SUD) or addiction care who seek to strengthen clinical practice, professional growth, and emotional resilience. The evidence-based content presented at the ORN regional nursing summit will focus on emerging trends in SUD treatment, professional development pathways, and emotional safety considerations inherent in healthcare practice. Participants will examine strategies to practice at the full scope of nursing practice, build therapeutic relationships with clients and communities, and recognize organizational champions who support effective addiction care. Through discussion and reflection, attendees will gain practical tools to improve care delivery, workplace culture, and personal well-being.Upon completion, learners will be able to apply knowledge and skills to enhance patient outcomes, professional resilience, and healthcare team effectiveness.

We are honored to share that our Rising Together short film has officially been released. We hosted a screening in Sacramento, which brought together partners, community leaders, and advocates from across the state. The event was a success and a strong reflection of the collective commitment behind this work.

Rising Together highlights our statewide initiative to support American Indian and Alaska Native survivors of violence through culturally centered education, collaboration, and healing. At its core, the film captures the heart of this movement—grounded in community, tradition, and the shared responsibility to ensure safety and wellness for our relatives. This film was created in collaboration with Condor Visual Media and made possible through the generous support of the Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation and IllumiNative. It stands as a testament to what is possible when we come together with intention and purpose.

This project was created in collaboration with Condor Visual Media and made possible through the generous support of the Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation and IllumiNative. We are also deeply grateful to the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation for opening the Seka Hills Tasting Room to host our screening and for their generous grant support to help continue this work forward into year two. Their partnership reflects the kind of community-driven investment that makes efforts like Rising Together possible.

We invite you to take a few moments to view the full film and reflect on the stories and vision it carries forward.

🪶💚 Open Call for Presenters + Workshop Proposals: for our second-annual Rooted in Tradition, a California Native Harm Reduction Summit! 💚🪶

We welcome all submissions and hope to make this space a special and refreshing experience for attendees. Examples of topics from last year include: Street-Based Outreach from the Bay Area to Toronto; Land-Based Healing & Traditional Ecological Knowledge; and Two Spirit Harm Reduction.

If you think you have an interesting perspective or project to share about, we encourage you to apply! If you are new to presenting or have a new topic and would like support with developing your concept, we also encourage you to submit and indicate this on your application. We want this summit to be a welcoming and supportive place for our people from all walks of life to learn alongside each other.
