ANNOUNCEMENT: 2026 Medicare Advantage Plans Accepted by NEMS
重要通知：東北醫療中心從2026年起接受的聯邦醫療保健計劃

As a Medicare beneficiary, you may have received information from insurance agents recommending that you change your health plan. Please note that any changes to your plan selection may affect your ability to continue receiving care at North East Medical Services (NEMS). To continue your care with NEMS, you must enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan that NEMS accepts and select a NEMS primary care provider.

Below are the Medicare Advantage plans that NEMS will accept starting January 1, 2026:

San Francisco County:
1. Wellcare/HealthNet
2. San Francisco Health Plan (SFHP) - Care Plus
3. Scan Health Plan - Strive
4. Anthem Blue Cross (ABC)

Santa Clara County:
1. Santa Clara Family Health Plan (SCFHP)
2. Anthem Blue Cross (ABC)
3. Alignment Health Plan

San Mateo County:
1. Health Plan of San Mateo (HPSM)

November is National Diabetes Month!
十一月是全國糖尿病關注月!

Did you know? Diabetes can cause blindness, nerve damage, kidney disease, etc. People can lower their risk for diabetes by more than half if they have a balanced diet, get regular physical activity, and stay at a healthy weight. If you want to learn more about diabetes, please attend NEMS Health Education Workshop.

Topics include:
• How to prevent diabetes
• What is diabetes?
• Diabetes and food
• Protecting your eyes and feet

Join Wu Yee Children's Services for a Pregnant Mom Support Group to meet other expecting mothers, learn helpful prenatal and postnatal care tips, discover community resources, and build a new circle of friends. Sessions will be conducted in Cantonese and held online via Zoom — enjoy the comfort and convenience of joining from home. All participants will receive baby gifts upon completing the program.
