Tomorrow has been called a National Shutdown Day in protest of ICE and the deadly harm being done to immigrant communities across this country.
As a small business, we cannot close our doors without risking our survival. But we want to be absolutely clear about where we stand.
We are an LGBTQIA+-owned business. We stand with immigrants. We stand against ICE and the violence, fear, and dehumanization it represents. We stand against this hateful administration.
The killings of Alex Pretti, Renee Nicole Good, and Keith Porter, along with multiple other innocent people who have been murdered by ICE, are devastating and unacceptable. This system causes real harm and real loss of life, and it must be held accountable.
Being open tomorrow does not mean neutrality. It means surviving while refusing to stay silent.
We encourage those who are able to participate in the shutdown to do so. We remain committed to justice, dignity, and community care.
