💕 Celebrating Our Amazing Moms at 1099 Sunnydale Ave!

Last week, our center was filled with joy, laughter, and connection as we hosted two beautiful Baby Showers for Spanish- and English-speaking moms and moms-to-be — including new moms with babies 12 months old and under — at our center located at 1099 Sunnydale Ave. 💕👶

It was a wonderful opportunity for participants to connect with fellow moms, build community, and discover valuable local resources available to support their families. We are especially grateful to our sponsor, Anthem Blue Cross Medi-Cal, for sharing important community resources and helping make this event possible. 💙

Moms also took part in an empowering mental health seminar focused on self-care — a meaningful reminder that caring for yourself is just as important as caring for your little one. 🧠✨

The celebrations included fun games, thoughtful gifts, and plenty of smiles all around! 🎁🎉

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped create such a warm, supportive space for our families. We look forward to continuing to uplift and celebrate our amazing moms! 💐

From Crisis to Stability: Wraparound Support Helped a Family Stay Afloat

Pichai, a dedicated young mother from Thailand, is raising three children amid tough financial challenges. When her husband's work hours were drastically reduced, their household income plummeted, making it hard to cover essentials like rent and utilities.
Compounding the strain, Pichai's eldest son lives with Angelman syndrome, which impacts his speech and development. To provide the full-time care he needs, Pichai stepped away from work, leaving the family on a single income.

The compassionate, wraparound support from APAFSS — made possible in part by our valued partner CPMC Sutter Health — Pichai's family is finding stability and hope:

- Our family advocate coordinates bill payment assistance to ease immediate financial pressures.

- We supply essential resources and supplies tailored to families navigating Angelman syndrome.

- We connect them to medical specialists, help schedule appointments, and provide ongoing emotional support and case management.

- Counseling services help reduce family stress and build resilience.

"Pichai" means "victorious" in Thai. With this holistic support, we're confident Pichai and her family will stay safely housed, healthy, and on the path to thriving together.

Grateful for partners like who help make these stories of strength possible. 💙
