LFG Holiday Party 2025! Thank you to everyone who came & supported. This year was celebrating the legacy & roots of who we are. Honoring the journey it took, to get here.

We often speak to the mind/body connection. How they influence & impact one another. It’s beautiful to us because: everything built, started off as idea. Intangible. Then, through the body—through action—it’s built.

Chelsea’s journey into fitness began with cycling. 🚴‍♀️ Growing up in the Bay Area, she found her love for movement, health, & community through the sport: eventually competing at the collegiate level while studying at San Jose State University. As part of the collegiate cycling team, she qualified for Collegiate Track Nationals twice—an experience that shaped her discipline, endurance, and performance mindset.

That athletic background directly informs how Chelsea trains her clients today. Her experience with cross-training, strength and conditioning, mobility, and functional movement is grounded in understanding how the body adapts under load & over time. With a Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Science and NASM certification: she brings a structured, thoughtful approach to helping clients build strength, improve posture, & move with confidence.

With over a decade of personal training experience, Chelsea works with a wide range of clients—from athletes returning to sport to prenatal and postpartum clients, as well as those navigating rehab and prehab. Her training style reflects patience, empathy, & precision. Supporting sustainable progress while helping each person feel strong, capable, and at home in their body.

Some days, the weight you’re carrying isn’t physical. It’s mental. It’s emotional. It’s the constant background noise of stress, pressure, uncertainty: holding it together for everyone else.

And what often gets missed is that exercise isn’t just about changing your body—it’s one of the most reliable ways to reset your nervous system. 🌱 When you move, your body releases endorphins, serotonin, & dopamine. Neurochemicals that naturally lift mood, calm stress, & restore motivation. This isn’t hype. It’s biology.

Movement is therapy in motion. When you train consistently, your body shifts out of fight-or-flight & into a relaxation response. Heart rate variability improves. Cortisol levels stabilize. The mind quiets. Over time, this is why exercise can reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression—not because it “fixes” you, but because it reminds your body what safety, rhythm, & regulation feel like again.

Strength training, cardio, stretching: each form of movement teaches your system how to process stress instead of storing it.

Let's talk about the mind/body connection in fitness. And wellness. Berenice understands the mind–body connection not as a concept, but as a lived experience.

During her own journey through physical therapy after injury, she learned firsthand what it feels like when the body loses mobility, when pain interrupts trust, & when movement no longer feels automatic. That chapter taught her how deeply the nervous system, the mind, and the body speak to one another—and how awareness becomes the first step back to strength. 🧠🥋💪

In moments of injury or limitation, the body adapts to extraordinary circumstances. It finds new patterns, new compensations, new ways to survive. The body is also designed to bounce back, recalibrate, & grow resilient again—when it’s given the right support. Berenice brings that understanding into every session, helping clients reconnect with their bodies through intentional movement, assisted stretching, & informed guidance rooted in both science and empathy.

When you train with someone who is certified, experienced, & attuned to how the nervous system responds to stress, safety, & touch...something powerful happens. You begin to feel supported. Many of our instructors didn’t start out planning to teach--they fell in love with the class first. They showed up as students, found joy in movement, & discovered a sense of belonging that kept pulling them back.
