Our recent art show featured original work from residents (and a few team members), with pieces spanning sculpture, photography, textile art, beading, painting and more.
It was a relaxed and engaging celebration with neighbors connecting, conversations unfolding, and creativity on full display.

Today marks the start of our Five Star College seminar series, where frontline team members—our “Stars”—collaborate to design and present workshops for their peers.

These presentations bring the values of Front Porch to life, showing how connection, trust, creativity, and collaboration come together to drive meaningful impact.

Our staff had a sweet time getting creative with our Peep Art display! 🐣✨
What started as a simple, fun activity quickly turned into a wonderful opportunity for laughter, storytelling, and connection. Using colorful Peeps and a little imagination, we brought scenes to life. From having fun at beach, karaoke Peep, to playful adventures, every display tells its own unique story. Most importantly, this activity gave everyone a chance to relax, express themselves, and enjoy time together- connection, creativity, personalization, collaboration.

Staying informed and engaged is part of the culture at San Francisco Towers. Recently, residents have explored issues from the global stage to our own community governance. Supervisor Stephen Sherrill joined us for a conversation about priorities shaping San Francisco, while Bennett Freeman—Senior Fellow at UC Berkeley’s Institute of International Studies and Associate Fellow at Chatham House in London—presented Rupture: A Year of Upheaval in U.S. Foreign Policy and Diplomacy, offering perspective on the first months of 2026 and the shifting international landscape. Residents also gathered for a mixer to meet candidates for the upcoming Resident Council election, an important part of the shared governance that helps shape life at The Towers.
From city hall to world affairs to our own community leadership, residents continue to stay curious, involved, and connected.

Residents at San Francisco Towers welcomed the Chinese New Year with our annual lion dance — a vibrant tradition that filled the community with color, movement, and good fortune.
Celebrating traditions like this reflects the cultural richness of San Francisco — and of our own community. A wonderful way to welcome the Year of the Horse together.

A recent sunny day made for a great outing to the San Francisco Cable Car Museum. For many residents, it was a first visit and a chance to learn more about one of the city’s most iconic pieces of history. Residents enjoyed the views, the exhibits, meeting a conductor along the way and a fun afternoon exploring San Francisco together.

Super Bowl Sunday brought residents together for good food, drinks, and an afternoon of watching the game in good company. Win or lose, it’s always nice to see our community come together around a shared event.

Santa’s sleigh was overflowing with cheer at San Francisco Towers! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our residents, the Employee Appreciation Fund provided year-end gifts and special treats from Santa and his elves to employees. It was a joyful celebration and a wonderful moment of community connection between residents and staff. Special thanks to resident Nancy for her coordination of resident donations. Happy Holidays everyone!

Resident and team safety are essential at San Francisco Towers. This week, our community took important steps to stay prepared that included a pendant fair—where residents could have their notification pendants checked, repaired, or updated—and our Code: Shakeout emergency preparedness drill.
These activities help ensure everyone knows what to do when an emergency arises, strengthening our shared commitment to awareness, readiness, and looking out for one another.

Honoring Veterans at SFT
Residents gathered for a moving and beautifully presented Veterans Day program led by Brenda Schuman-Post, Oboist and Director of Sonic Forest Productions. Her program, “Honoring Veterans: Music by, for, and about the United States Military,” blended history, storytelling, and performance to pay tribute to those who have served.
We are deeply grateful to all who serve and have served, especially our resident veterans whose experiences and perspectives strengthen our community.

Driving Toward a Greener Future 🚗⚡
We’re thrilled to announce the arrival of San Francisco Towers’ first all-electric vehicle — the 2026 Hyundai IONIQ 9! This represents more than just a new set of wheels — it’s a step forward in our shared commitment to comfort, safety, reliability, and sustainability. The decision to “go electric” came with thoughtful input from residents and team members alike.
Did you know? 🌱 SFT already has several EV charging stations available for residents, with plans to expand capacity in the future.
A big thank-you to everyone who helped make this happen. Here’s to many more green initiatives that keep The Towers driving in the right direction — sustainably!
