How can my massage practice help you live better?
Receiving massage helps keep you doing the things you love. Massage is a fantastic way to re-connect to your body. Massage is a way to take time out to focus on our wellbeing, to listen to how we’re feeling right here and right now. As I begin to work with the tissue, and you begin to work with your breath, the body will open up and begin to reveal holding patterns. With a combination of techniques, customized to each individual client, I map my way through these patterns, holding on certain areas, while easing up and gliding over others, to encourage movement, release, and neurological re-mapping, to restore the body to it’s natural pain-free state.

Our Story

A little about me: Having low-vision I was drawn to massage therapy as a career path, knowing that my more developed sense of touch would be a great strength. I have practiced massage therapy since August 2007 when I received my professional training from Heartwood Institute in Garberville, CA. My practice extends from high-end day spas to a private practice focusing on in-home massage. Continuing education positively benefits my clients so I regularly attend courses on additional massage modalities.

Striking a perfect balance between deep tissue and relaxation. I specialize in a deep tissue / sports massage style that strikes a balance between deep focused work and a relaxing flow. I work with a wide variety of clients including athletes, weekend warriors and professionals. My massages are designed to promote both healing and relaxation to leave you feeling better in your body, and more clear headed.

Feeling better in your body through regular massage. I believe we are all in need of more positive touch in our lives. As our lives become ever more rushed and pressured, we find fewer and fewer opportunities for self-care, not to mention actual physical contact with other people. On the clinical side, massage has been shown to increase circulation, improve respiration, ease digestion, and facilitate recovery from muscular injury and soreness. On the energetic side, it relaxes the body and mind, and calms the spirit. My massage eases you into a slower way of life, where you can lie on a warm table, with gentle music in the background, as calming hands work out life’s stresses.

Balancing play with rest is the key to keeping a smile on my face. In my free time I enjoy hiking, camping, yoga, movies, cooking, and a good book. Doing things that keep me feeling connected to everything around me is very healing. Getting out into nature and out of the city helps me feel the connection to everything and better recognize my place in the Universe. Helping my clients feel better in their bodies, so they can keep doing the things they love, gives me great satisfaction, and is one of the many reasons why I love my work.
