Your gallbladder is a tiny organ with a very big job:
It helps you digest fats.
Your liver makes bile all day long.
Bile is the fluid that helps break down fats and absorb important vitamins like A, D, E and K.
But since we don’t eat 24/7, the body stores this bile in the gallbladder.
When you eat a meal — especially one with fat — the gallbladder squeezes and releases bile into the small intestine to help digestion.
After gallbladder removal, the liver still makes bile. The body doesn’t lose it 💚
The difference is that bile now flows slowly and continuously instead of being released in one strong squeeze.
This is why some people notice temporary digestion changes, bloating or sensitivity to heavy meals during recovery.
The body adapts beautifully with time.
Healing is smart. ✨
