A week after the initial injury, this martial artist came in with a lateral ankle sprain that didn’t fully reveal itself right away — something I see more often than you’d think.
What started as “not too bad” turned into lingering pain, instability, and that subtle hesitation in movement that tells you the body isn’t fully trusting the joint yet.
In this session, I focused on:
✨ Reducing inflammation and residual swelling
✨ Activating local circulation to promote healing
✨ Supporting ligament repair and proprioception
✨ Addressing compensatory patterns up the kinetic chain
Electro-acupuncture + distal points helped wake the ankle back up while calming the reactive tension through the leg.
Injuries don’t always show their full story on day one. The body reveals layers — and when we listen closely, we can treat not just the pain, but the pattern behind it.
Back to training soon… but stronger, smarter, and more connected. 🥋
