Here’s an inside look at all the fun our Arabic speaking sisters have been having at their weekly gatherings. Last month they practiced weaving in a therapeutic and explorative art class with Toby 😋🧶 With the help of their amazing teacher, Leah, have also been diving into the art of Capoeira, an Afro-Brazilian martial arts form that weaves in dance, music and culture. It was created by enslaved people and used as a form of resistance and can help to heal communities, today 💙 Our staff, Howaida, also managed to bring about playful laughter and energy with the tabletop game competitions she has organized for them ✨

Greetings community! ☀️ We wanted to share this article written about a long-time community leader, Mike Voung. He has been a beloved mentor and colleague to many in the Tenderloin, and has just recently departed from his role as Clubhouse Director. Words can hardly sum up how significant he is to us, but this article celebrates his work and discusses his transition 💙

Last month we were paid a very sincere visit by students from Saint Mary’s College High School in Berkeley 💙 They arrived early to help us serve breakfast to our neighbors, and joined our community in our weekly yoga session. What a gift it is to serve alongside such young and generous spirits, thanks for visiting! ✨

Fun Fridays are alive at the Healing WELL every first Friday of the month 😋✨ Join us for karaoke, dancing and food! A huge shout out goes to the ELKS Club who have been volunteering to grill hotdogs for every month for the past few years🫶 They always distribute over 200 hotdogs and now are generously upping their supply to continue feeding more!

Thanks to SF Shakespeare Festival for delivering an absolutely entertaining show for the community! We enjoyed popcorn, and a fun Improv and Storytelling workshop before the show 😋

We visited Muttville 2 weeks ago for Cuddle Club and had an unforgettable time 😊 Cuddle Club gives seniors an opportunity to socialize with elder dog rescues 🐶🫂 This time, we got to take a fun tour of their beautiful facility and learn even more about their history. Thank you for hosting and introducing us the kindest dogs! 💝
