Food is medicine, and sometimes a clue
If “healthy” foods make you feel worse, it’s not in your head. An inflamed gut can react to foods that should be fine.
We guide a safe, structured approach to calm the system first, then rebuild variety.

One of the fundamental principles in naturopathic medicine is “First do no harm”; accordingly, I understand that a key concept in healing is to identify the cause of disease rather than simply treat or suppress the symptoms. I believe strongly in the connection between mind, body and spirit. The human body has an inherent vital ability to heal itself with the support of appropriate noninvasive therapies. This approach requires treating the whole person, not just the disease.
Embracing the naturopathic principle of ‘doctor as teacher’, my patient care emphasizes education and empowerment in one's own healing process. The more we understand our own bodies and the mechanisms that cause illness, the more committed we become to optimizing wellness. I am dedicated to educating you about your body, how it functions and its capacity to heal itself. It is my goal to build a collaborative healing relationship with each individual in an effort to maximize personal health.
Underlying causes of illness can be determined by conducting a comprehensive interview to gather past, present and family medical histories. I pay special attention to the effects that diet, digestion, stress, sleep, lifestyle, and exercise have on a patients health. Using the appropriate diagnostic exams and laboratory tests, I can evaluate digestive function, nutritional status, detoxification processes, immune and cardiovascular health, and hormone and endocrine balance.
Specialties: As a naturopathic doctor, I am trained in diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions. I have a general naturopathic family practice with an emphasis on women’s health and fertility. My expertise includes work with, but is not limited to:
Hormone imbalance happens naturally as a part of aging, a reaction to stress and a host of other contributing factors such as menopause, peri-menopause, diet, caffeine, alcohol, stress and lack of exercise or sleep.
The cycle of wear and tear that attacks your immune system and continues to make you feel out of balance and run down can be corrected, naturally.
