HeartBeets We believe that each person should have the opportunity to advocate for their own well-being through everyday meal choices.

HeartBeets is an initiative of the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation that seeks to inspire the consumption of natural, locally-grown foods among hospital staff, patients, and surrounding communities. A project funded by the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation, HeartBeets seeks to promote healing through increasing knowledge, access, and consumption of natural, locally grown foods. Entrenched in the vibrant and dynamic environment of San Francisco, HeartBeets works to help individuals and communities experience the physical and spiritual benefits of nutritious, fresh food. We teach teen mothers, hospital patients, and low-income residents, among others, how to use the network of local farmers and food enthusiasts to inspire their own passion for healthy eating.
