Dear patients and families,
One Parker Pediatric Dentistry is choosing to suspend nonessential or non-urgent dental care for two weeks (effective March 17th to March 30th, 2020) in order to be proactive and comply with the social distancing recommendations of the CDC. As always, we will continue to be available for emergency care and services, as we will have staff on site.
As the facts and situation around COVID-19 (coronavirus) continue to evolve, and in step with Gov. Newsom’s recent Declaration of a State of Emergency, including the call for all seniors over the age of 65 and residents with chronic conditions to self-isolate themselves at home, we have decided to support the California Dental Association’s recommendation to shut down the office for two weeks. We hope to resume a limited schedule by March 31st. We will keep you informed in the meantime with updates as the recommendations change.
We did not make this decision lightly, and it is being done out of an abundance of caution during this historic public health emergency. As health care professionals, we have a role to play in slowing the spread of the new coronavirus and “flattening the curve”. We continue to follow sound scientific, public health advice that will help limit infections and slow the spread of the virus.
We believe by taking this extraordinary precaution, we as dental professionals can collectively make a difference in helping to preserve the limited supply of personal protective equipment critical for emergency dental care and frontline healthcare personnel responding to the pandemic.
During the next 14 days, we will call you to reschedule your appointment. As always, we will continue to be available as needed for emergency care and services. Should you need urgent care, please call our office at 415-668-3500 or email at info@oneparkerdentistry.com. Patients who have appointments and are affected by this closure will be contacted personally to re-schedule your appointment.
We are hoping for your understanding and cooperation. We have your well-being, as well as the well-being of our staff, as our utmost concern. Stay safe and healthy.
Best Regards,
Dr. Doris Lin Song
