It is with great delight to share with you that I am becoming a parent soon. The beauty of my Ayurveda practice is that now I get to apply what I’ve learned working with you, my Ayurveda and Postpartum clients, on myself and my family.

My kitchen is stocked with ghee and jaggery, my bathroom full of sesame oil for massage, and my counters are full of herbs and spices. Of course taking care of oneself as a practitioner is not easy, but with an amazing partner who is willing to apply the principles of Ayurveda, I’m looking forward to a strong recovery and postpartum period.

The pandemic has naturally afforded us a retreat from visitors and distractions, so it’ll primarily be us--partner, baby and I, with remote check-ins with my practitioners. I will resume remote Ayurveda consultations and Postpartum support after the 4th trimester-- likely around mid-March.

Looking forward to sharing my journey becoming a parent with you!

Black Lives Matter.

We are grieving because many of the systems of oppression within our country have yet to clearly serve whole-heartedly our black people without perpetuating hatred and violence, and, ultimately, murder at the hands of our ever-increasingly militarised police. We must continue to safely (physically distanced and masked) stand up and fight to change the structures that be. Let's re-envision and be the allies we claim to be. Educate within your own families and communities.

Know Justice. Know Peace. No Justice. No Peace.

And as more and more folks die from the pandemic, it's important to face our collective and individual grief. Although it feels like some people are returning to their lives as usual, death tolls are, in fact, still rising. Please be safe out there--protect yourselves and your loved ones. We are still getting through this together.
