Blue Humming Therapy

Blue Humming Therapy Blue Humming Therapy offers thoughtful humanistic counseling and mental health services to clients and communities.

Blue Humming Therapy mission is to provide the humanistic support and work together to promote all clients and communities' mental well-being. We believe that everyone deserves to receive the humanistic support and the best quality of mental wellness service. In order to achieve our goal, we keep our uniqueness of DIVERSE, BALANCE, and INTEGRATION. Blue Humming Therapy was formed by clinicians and

staff that represent very diverse ethnicities, races, cultures, and values. We respect each background and value the uniqueness of individuals. Understanding and accepting someone who has different background is not easy. We try to understand each other and think about the real meaning of "co-working." Through our work, we found out how an organization can bring out the strengths in each individual and also effectively function as a team. This balanced work as an individual and group enables us to help promote their mental wellness of our clients and communities more effectively.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) are essential in mental health care because healing does not happen in a vacuum.

Every person brings unique experiences, identities, and cultural backgrounds into the therapy space. When mental health services are inclusive and equitable, clients are more likely to feel safe, understood, and supported.

DEI in mental health means:
• Recognizing the impact of lived experiences
• Addressing barriers to care
• Creating affirming spaces for all identities
• Improving trust and treatment outcomes

At Blue Humming Therapy, we believe mental health care should honor the whole person, because inclusive care leads to stronger healing.

Mental health is not one-size-fits-all.

Our cultural backgrounds shape how we understand emotions, express distress, and seek support. Recognizing these differences is an important step toward more inclusive and effective care.

Blue Humming Therapy strives to provide culturally responsive support that honors each person’s unique experiences and identity.

Anxiety and trauma don’t only affect our thoughts, they can show up in the body too.

Sometimes emotions are difficult to put into words. Creative expression can offer another way to process and release what we’re feeling.

At Blue Humming Therapy, our art therapy services provide a supportive space to explore emotions through creativity.

Loneliness can quietly affect mental health, increasing stress, intensifying anxiety or depression, and making daily life feel heavier. It’s not a personal failure, and it’s more common than we often realize.

At BHT, we believe understanding loneliness helps create space for compassion, connection, and care for ourselves and for others.

You’re not alone, even in this feeling. 💛

Loneliness and isolation are often used interchangeably, but they’re not the same. You can feel lonely even when surrounded by people, and you can be alone without feeling disconnected.

At BHT, we believe connection is a key part of mental well-being and it doesn’t look the same for everyone. Connection can be found in people, community spaces, creative expression, routines, or moments where you feel seen and supported.

💛 What helps you feel connected?

Rest is productive.

In a culture that often measures worth by output, choosing rest can feel uncomfortable and undeserved. But rest supports mental health, emotional regulation, and long-term well-being. It allows our minds and bodies the space they need to recover, reflect, and sustain care over time.

At BHT, we believe rest is not a reward for being productive ,it’s a necessary part of being human. Slowing down, setting boundaries, and honoring your capacity are meaningful acts of care.

You are allowed to pause. Your well-being matters.

Last Friday, our team had the pleasure of attending the 2026 Beacon Way Day Resource Fair at San Francisco State University.

One of our Board Members, Miyo Inoue, PhD, also joined the fair to connect with educators. It was an incredible opportunity where we got to meet many schools, after-school programs, resource centers, and dedicated community partners.

We believe that mental health is not achieved through individual effort alone; it thrives through strong partnerships and a shared commitment across the entire community. A heartfelt thank you to the organizers for providing this networking space, and to every teacher, staff member, and supporter who stopped by to connect with us. Together, we are building a stronger support system for our youth.

Self-care isn’t a trend — it’s a practice.

Sustainable self-care is about meeting your real needs, not performing wellness or keeping up with expectations. Some days that might look like rest, support, or softer boundaries. Other days, it might simply mean getting through the day and that still counts.

At BHT, we believe care should be accessible, compassionate, and flexible, especially during hard seasons.

💛 What does sustainable self-care look like for you right now?
