Moving forward, how we provide your eyecare is going to be different. Your health and safety are of paramount importance to us. Thus, we have instituted new protocols to maximize your safety and minimize your risk of exposure to illness.
We are currently scheduling routine eye exams and services for the month of June and onward.
How We Are Reopening
Please read below for updated and detailed information of how we will be conducting services in our office.
Controlling the number of patients in the office. In consideration of our other patients, we ask that you arrive for your appointment on time and by yourself, unless you require a parent or caregiver. Any child who comes in for an appointment should be accompanied by one parent; siblings will not be allowed into the exam room. Families of no more than 2 will be allowed in the office for an appointment.
*If you are running late, you may be asked to reschedule.
Please wear a face covering to the appointment. For the safety of our staff, doctors, and patients, anyone without a face covering cannot be serviced. If you are a caregiver or parent accompanying a child to their appointment, we ask that both you and the patient wear a face covering.
Screening of patients. Forehead temperatures will be taken at the front door upon your arrival at the office. Screening questions will also be asked. Anyone who is experiencing or has been exposed to COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms will be asked to reschedule their visit.
Hand hygiene. Upon entrance into the office, we ask that you wash your hands for 20 seconds with soap and water. Doctors and staff will also wash their hands prior to working with you.
Appointments required. We encourage visits and curbside pickups by appointment only, even for picking up your eyeglass or contact lens orders. Frame adjustments will be done carefully to avoid close contact. Walk-ins may result in your having to wait outside the office until we can safely accommodate you, or being asked to return at a later time. This helps us adhere to social distancing guidelines.
Frame selection. During frame selection, you will be provided with a pair of gloves. Please give any frames that you have tried on to the staff, who will sterilize them with soap and water after your visit. Please keep in mind that you are allotted 60 minutes total for exam and services; if necessary, our office will reschedule remaining services that need more time.
Contactless payment. Our credit card machine accepts Apple Pay and Android Pay. Patients with credit cards with a chip will be asked to insert their cards themselves. If using cash, please have exact change.
Enhanced disinfection of the entire office after each patient visit.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to our office, and one of our staff will be happy to help you. We will also continue to send updates about our office as necessary.
Thank you for being our patient during and after these tough times. We will not only get through this, but we will emerge stronger after it!
Yours in Health,
Carrie Lee, O.D.
