Hello Belden Physical Therapy and Fitness community,
As of March 17, 2020 we are directed to abide by San Francisco directive of ‘shelter in place’ through April 7, 2020, possibly longer. I hope all of you are being safe and staying healthy. We hope everyone has been able to stay compliant with their home exercise programs and that you continue to recover from your injuries/ailments.
As the days go by, you may wonder how to progress with your exercises or if you are still doing things correctly, or if you have unanswered questions about your injury/ailment in general. We have been unable to take in-clinic appointments but we are fortunate in this day and age to provide services via telehealth.
The medical community as a whole is trying to address new ways to extend medical care to patients especially in our current situation dealing with the Coronavirus. This is a new arena for physical therapy but it is not one that we are unable to overcome. I feel that video conferencing will allow the physical therapist and patient to interact more appropriately than via telephone and email exchange. Currently Medicare is allowing coverage for telehealth services but other insurance carriers have not quite followed suit but we hope they will.

In the meantime, we will provide telehealth services via a cash pay basis up to 25 minute video conference sessions using the Zoom app for those not covered by Medicare. This should be sufficient time to answer your questions and review/progress your treatment program. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility.
As a small business in healthcare, we are doing our best to serve the community, keep our staff and the public safe, and try to stay viable through these difficult times. We are all in this together. Again, please stay safe and healthy and we hope to see you all again soon.
If you have any questions, please reach out to us at admin@beldenpt.com.
Yours truly,
Belden Physical Therapy and Fitness
