Hello P1s!

We enjoyed being able to talk with some of you at AMCP general info session this year. In case you need a refresher or weren’t able to make it to our info session this year, AMCP stands for the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy and our mission is to empower our members to serve society using sound medication management principles to improve healthcare for all. AMCP focuses on population health and allocating resources to optimize patient care. As a student chapter, our goal is to teach students how to review clinical, economic, and safety information to make important healthcare decisions for patients, while also promoting professional development through networking opportunities with professionals working in both managed care and industry.

Hello everyone,
We are excited to announce that the AMCP UCSF mentor-mentee program is back! This is a great opportunity to meet professionals in managed care and industry settings to gain career advice and an introduction to the various positions available to PharmD’s. Please take a look at the 2022 Mentor Booklet and fill out this interest form by Monday August 22nd at 11:59 PM so that we can best match you with your future mentor. Those that filled out the mentorship interest form, and paid AMCP members will have first priority to a mentor, but we encourage everyone who is interested to fill out the form. We expect around 50 individuals to be matched to a mentor. If you have any questions, please reach out to Nour Khaddaj Mallat at Nour.khaddajmallat@ucsf.edu.

Hey Everyone!

AMCP is hosting its annual Winter Banquet!

The Winter Banquet will take place on Wednesday, February 16th from 6:00-7:30 PM.

Come meet with professionals in managed care and industry and join us for a fun game of Kahoot! (with gift card prizes to the top 5 scores!!) while watching the local P&T winners present and answer questions from the audience!

Hello everyone!
AMCP, APhA/CPhA, CSHP, NCPA, SCCP and SNPhA are proud to present Pharmacy Legislative Night on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 from 7-8:30PM!
Come learn what the S. 1362/H.R. 2759 - Pharmacy and Medically Underserved Area Enhancement Act is all about and how you can get involved as pharmacy students! You will get to network with different pharmacy leaders and have the chance to voice your opinions on the bill by writing a letter to your representative. This is a unique opportunity to discover the importance of legislation and advocacy in the pharmacy profession!
Guest speakers include: Dr. Steven Samuels, Dr. Brian Komoto, Dr. Sienna Miller, Dr. Lisa Kroon, Dr. Michelle Rivas, Dr. Marilyn Stebbins, Dr. Avi Mamidi, Dr. Keith Yoshizuka.
