Meet DIAKADI Coach, Tracy Ling!

Before becoming a certified personal trainer, Tracy worked a physically demanding job in animal care. Having dealt with daily back and knee pain—and having watched coworkers go out on disability—made her realize how essential strength and mobility are to live pain-free. Along the way, Tracy developed my own strength training routine and has been an avid runner since competing in cross country and track in high school. Those experiences inspired Tracy to dedicate her life to helping others do the same.

Tracy brings that same awareness into every session, meeting you where you are and designing programs to help you move better and feel stronger. She focuses on building strength and mobility from the ground up for both women and men, and especially for beginners. With an energetic approach and regular check-ins, Tracy is your accountability partner—here to help you stay consistent and build confidence every step of the way.

Ask the Coach: What signs tell you someone needs more rest vs. more movement?

Knowing the difference can be the key to better results, fewer setbacks, and smarter training. Here’s what our coaches look for.

“I assess energy and attention levels by asking directly and observing behavior; are they relaxed, focused, and energized, or stressed, distracted, and sluggish? If the latter, gentle movement like walking, foam rolling, and stretching supports deeper recovery. Biomarkers such as resting heart rate, body temperature, HRV, and breathing rate also help guide exercise intensity. Remember that stress goes beyond poor sleep or a hangover; work and family overwhelm, excess caffeine, under-eating, and over-training often signal the need for rest over movement.”

Dustin ():

“The way a client walks into the gym tells me a lot about their readiness to train. Their posture, initial interactions, and general demeanor are all things I consider when deciding how hard to push them during our workout. If they're feeling low energy that day, then maybe we reduce the volume or intensity of the planned workout. You have to meet them where they're at.”
