🌸✨ Spring has arrived in the Bay Area and nature is putting on a show! California poppies are bursting into color, fuzzy Yarrow leaves are peeking through the soil, and Borage flowers are blooming across streets and community gardens. With the early signs of Spring comes the invitation for our Annual Spring Group Cleanse starting on April 13th. 🌿🧡

More than a trend, Spring Cleanse is part of our year-long health planning and cultivation. Do you know why?

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, each core Zang organ (Heart, Liver, Spleen, Lung, and Kidney) is potentialized during a season, and Spring is the season when the Liver is working at its peak. For those of us with imbalances in our Liver, this can be the time of year where Liver symptoms might flare. Symptoms such as migraines, headaches, allergies, dry eyes, vertigo, and irritability can all worsen at this time. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, our Cleanse can help support the Liver so your body can become resilient in the year to come!

Are you ready to feel your best this Spring? If you would like to join us, visit the link in bio to sign up. 🌺

Why does acupuncture treatment require multiple sessions?

Acupuncture treats in layers and stages, and in this post we explain why it is a good thing.

Western Medicine is incredibly effective at providing targeted relief, and for many situations, that’s exactly what the body needs. Acupuncture works beautifully alongside that care, addressing the deeper patterns and systems that unfold over time.

Traditional East Asian Medicine works by treating in layers, recognizing that the body’s regulatory systems the nervous system, circulation, inflammation, and pain response all influence one another. Acupuncture gently supports the balance between rest and alertness, helping the body find its natural rhythm.

When someone has been living with chronic stress, poor sleep, or irregular eating, the body adapts by staying in a heightened state of alert. It’s simply doing what it knows. Each acupuncture session introduces a corrective signal, and with repeated treatment, the body begins to recognize and settle into a healthier baseline.

Relief can come early, but recalibrating sleep, hormones, inflammation, and stress is a gradual process, one that reflects how beautifully complex our biology truly is. This is acupuncture supporting real, lasting change.

We’d love to be part of your health journey. Schedule your next appointment at Point of Life Acupuncture via the link in bio. 🌿

Acupuncture isn’t just about inserting needles, it’s a holistic practice rooted in the belief that body, mind, and spirit are interconnected. It views symptoms not in isolation, but as part of a larger pattern. This perspective empowers people to understand their health in terms of balance, movement, cycles and seasons, not just disease.

Moreover, acupuncture works best not as a quick fix but as part of an ongoing process of self-care. Many patients use it as preventive medicine or alongside other treatments for chronic conditions.

In today’s chaotic world, what part of your life feels out of balance, and what might it mean to bring flow back into that space? 🪴

The new lunar year is starting today! 🥳We are moving away from the Year of the Snake and entering the Year of the Fire Yang Horse. It’s important to remember that the Lunar New Year is not simply a cultural celebration or symbolic fresh start, but a real energetic turning point in the body.

This period represents the gradual shift from deep winter Yin toward the rising Yang energy of spring. Unlike the Western New Year, which emphasizes immediate change, Traditional Chinese Medicine views renewal as a process. In Chinese Medicine, Fire is the element that governs the Heart, Shen (the spirit), joy, communication, and consciousness. Combined with the Horse, an animal associated with freedom, movement, charisma, and independence. This year carries momentum, passion, and visibility. Keep in mind that one of the challenges for the coming year is balancing all this fire. This can manifest in symptoms such as irritability, anger, anxiety, restlessness, insomnia, constipation, repetitive UTI’s.

Ride the energy of the Horse year with grace, let acupuncture keep you grounded! We look forward to seeing you soon! ✨🐎✨

Happy Lunar New Year to all!
