The new lunar year is starting today! 🥳We are moving away from the Year of the Snake and entering the Year of the Fire Yang Horse. It’s important to remember that the Lunar New Year is not simply a cultural celebration or symbolic fresh start, but a real energetic turning point in the body.
This period represents the gradual shift from deep winter Yin toward the rising Yang energy of spring. Unlike the Western New Year, which emphasizes immediate change, Traditional Chinese Medicine views renewal as a process. In Chinese Medicine, Fire is the element that governs the Heart, Shen (the spirit), joy, communication, and consciousness. Combined with the Horse, an animal associated with freedom, movement, charisma, and independence. This year carries momentum, passion, and visibility. Keep in mind that one of the challenges for the coming year is balancing all this fire. This can manifest in symptoms such as irritability, anger, anxiety, restlessness, insomnia, constipation, repetitive UTI’s.
Ride the energy of the Horse year with grace, let acupuncture keep you grounded! We look forward to seeing you soon! ✨🐎✨
Happy Lunar New Year to all!
