SunnyKarma, Inc is a Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation startup based in San Francisco. It’s a hip social fundraising platform and a marketplace of unique experiences, services and products. It aims to disrupt the game of giving, making fundraising social and fun, and providing valuable or one of a kind experiences in return for monetary contributions. It connects individuals, socially minded and mission driven enterprises, businesses, and non-profit organizations via charity auctions, sweepstakes, upscale events and sought-after conferences. SunnyKarma is a new social fundraising platform where anyone can auction off or bid on a cool experience and help a good cause. Anyone can benefit - from non-profit organizations seeking to increase awareness for their cause and to raise funds, to donors donating their time to support their favorite causes, to bidders supporting worthwhile causes and receiving fantastic experiences in the process. Bid on the auctions of other users – highest bidder wins, just like on eBay! Or, buy raffles tickets - winners are chosen randomly.
2. Create an Auction or a Raffle to fundraise for your favorite cause. To create an experience:
• Click on the orange "Create an experience" button at the top right hand corner of our homepage.
• Select a cause that you support
• Choose if you want to do an Auction where the highest bidder wins, or a Raffle where the winner is chosen randomly by the system
• Pick a catchy title of your experience
• Fill out the details for what the experience is about and why the cause you are supporting is important to you.
• Choose the length of the experience in days (usually 20-25 days)
• Set the starting bid for your experience (try to set for as low as possible to allow maximum bidders)
• Choose the number of winners for your auction or a raffle (usually just one)
• Choose an image that relates to the experience that you are offering (for example, if you're offering a guitar music lesson a picture of a guitar would be great)
Bidding on auctions & raffles of others takes just seconds. Creating your own Experience takes just minutes. And you are ready to make this world a better place! Types of Experiences
The experiences can be anything that will benefit others - mentorship sessions, works of art, food dishes, flying/driving tours, items, tickets to coveted shows, various lessons such as language, photography, tennis, etc. – use your imagination – its limitless! Each one of us has something to share with the world. Share what you know and love! Some suggestions below:
- Anyone has an expertise, skill, passion or a hobby they can share with others: tennis/yoga lesson, photography lesson, language lesson, guitar lesson, etc.
- Meeting at a café to talk about travel, art, movies, technology, fashion, anything you are passionate about.
- If you are Venture Capitalist, C-level executive, or a successful entrepreneur you can offer an hour or two of your time to consult others interested in joining the Silicon Valley entrepreneur world or needing guidance in their business.
- If you have professional expertise in any field, offer it: any professional or legal advice, chiropractic/massage session, music lesson
- As an artist you can donate your finished work, create a unique work of art for the winning bidder, or provide a lesson or guidance to aspiring artists.
- As a business you offer your services - a meal, a cooking lesson, a coffee, adventure activities, tickets to movies, concerts, bowling, arcades, etc.
