“Wasn’t it just yesterday that our child started kindergarten? How is middle school already here?”

The transition from elementary to middle school can feel overwhelming—especially for families of students with disabilities. Join CASE, the Community Alliance for Special Education, to learn how the IEP process can support a smoother transition. This workshop will cover key areas to discuss in your child’s IEP, including accommodations and supports that can be requested to help your child thrive in middle school.

✔Bring a re-usable water bottle to fill up at drinking fountains.
✔Bright a light sweatshirt for indoors (John O'Connell can get chilly!)
✔Parking can be challenging! We recommend public transportation.

🎨 Sensory Room — Need a break? Stop by our Sensory Room, facilitated by Children's Creativity Museum, for a calm and playful space to recharge. Open 9am–2pm. Youth must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.

🚌 Zum Bus — Head outside to explore the Zum Bus! Zum provides safe, reliable transportation for students with disabilities. Find them in front of the cafeteria.
