First off — I’ve always been a baddie 😛

After losing 90 lbs, I did everything “right”:
nutrition, movement, mindset work.
But my mind–body connection still felt misaligned.

Both photos are me at my healthiest weight — 155 lbs.

Skin removal surgery wasn’t about perfection.
It was the final step in aligning my reflection with the work I’d already done.

Same habits. Same effort.
Now the photos finally feel like me.

Hyperpigmentation was my main concern…
until I realized how much the tight, cord-like scar texture bothered me too.

What helped:

- Botox @ 8 weeks – reduced tension ~5/10 in early healing. New emerging data. Hard to say how much it changed final outcome
- Microneedling x3 – HUGE difference in that taut, ropey scar texture. If you’re bothered by raised or tight scars, I definitely recommend
- VI Peel x2 – dramatic color improvement (pricey but powerful)
- Silicone tape – cheapest + most evidence-backed daily method, daily wear, also protects from sun

Comment “scar tape” if you want my Amazon link 🔗

& pls lmk what worked for your scars?

You know what annoyed me most?

After losing 90 lbs, I’d tell ppl how excited I was to remove my loose skin. & they would ask,
“Why go under the knife if you don’t really need it?”

Because living in a body that didn’t feel like mine WAS the reason.

I didn’t fight for this body to still feel uncomfortable in it. Choosing plastics wasn’t vanity - it was finishing the transformation.

Live ur truth and🖕🏽the haters.

My PRO TIPS for tummy tuck recovery — from an ER nurse who’s lived it 🤍

• Ask your surgeon about the pain control plan BEFORE surgery
• Pick up prescriptions the week prior so nothing is missing
• Take meds around the clock before pain ramps up
• Have a post-op trained lymphatic massage specialist lined up
• Invest in HIGH-QUALITY compression

💬 Comment “faja” if you want my compression recs.

And don’t let recovery videos scare you — yes, it’s a journey, but you can do this. I’m rooting for you every step of the way.👏

Did u guys have the same experience?

You’d think after 90 lb weight loss, my body image would improve.. but I still felt so disconnected. Like I was swimming under all of this loose skin.

Skin removal surgery was hard but damn, it feels good to be home. 🥹
