Nourish your mornings!
My breakfast drink... which I have about 30 min after waking up... alongside my breakfast meal. What's in it?
- 1L water
- 1 scoop collagen peptides
- 1 scoop essential amino acids
- 1 scoop fiber
- 1 scoop of greens
Why do I drink this?
- I like having a lot of water first thing in the morning because...hydration and all.
- Having collagen may help with my autoimmune condition... which affects my skin and joints.
- Adding EAAs helps make up for the fact that collagen is missing some key amino acids... therefore boosting my protein intake for the day.
- Fiber because... poo :-)
- Greens to boost my nutrient intake...and make me feel like I'm making healthy choices.
- The whole concoction tastes surprisingly good and I thoroughly enjoy it.
I typically drink this alongside my breakfast food, which is often....
- chicken bacon, onions, asparagus sautéed in a pan
- add egg whites and 1 whole egg to make omelet
- top with hot sauce
- 2 pieces sourdough with avocado and garlic salt
- herbal tea
Should you eat like this?
I dunno.
Just sharing what I do to try and support my nutrition needs while trying to achieve my health/fitness/performance goals.
Works for me and I like it.
