Mandala is a Sanskrit word that means circle, completion, or center. Mandalas are often seen as beautiful images with different shapes in a circle and can act as aids to create a sacred space and help focus during meditation.

Mandala Yoga is a circular flow where you move in 360 degrees around the mat from the front of the mat to the sides, to the back of the mat, and around making the shape of a mandala.

The class is creative and fun and a new way to move around the mat.

It is dynamic, and fluid to wake up the whole body and flow seamlessly through the rhythmic asanas. The movement will be connected with the breath making it a moving meditation.

These days, most of the people have desk jobs with long sitting hours which puts stress on the lower back. With the work from home situation, this has gotten worse. This has inspired me to create a video with a set of simple stretching exercises that’ll help you relieve the stiffness and discomfort in the lower back.

Hi folks, hope everyone is doing good. Given that it is hard to attend yoga sessions in a studio, I thought of sharing my recorded video so that you can practice at home.

Parivrtta Surya Yantrasana (aka Compass or Sundial Pose) - It is a challenging seated posture that requires considerable length in the hamstrings, side body, and shoulders but it has great benefits -
- It requires stretching through the hamstrings and groin. Lengthening in these areas can help to reduce lower back pain and allow for more fluid movement in the lower body.
- It is a hip-opener. There are over 20 muscles that cross the hips. Lengthening these muscles allows us to complete basic tasks more freely
- It helps strengthen our spine and detoxes our belly organs.

Before practicing this pose, warm your body up with some Sun Salutations, side bends, and hip openers holding for a few breaths in each asana.
