The past couple months I have created a morning routine of drinking green juice (typically celery) and hot water w/ collagen, lemon and apple cider vinegar before eating anything.
Since it’s already 81 degrees today at 10am 😓 I swapped the hot water for my favorite sparkling. ✨
The taste of apple cider vinegar is not my fav but the what it does for my digestion is 💯
Other great health benefits:
🍎 Lowers Inflammation
🍏 Balances blood sugar levels (it can help with sugar addictions as well)
🍎 Improves insulin resistance
🍏 It’s antimocrobial and can help treat candida
🍎BONUS: it’s great for those suffering from heart burn!
✨ Just take 1-2 tsp or tbsp and dilute ina cup of water or make a@tasty tonic drink like the one above!

This is not what we expected our wedding day to look like but it ended up being more magical than we ever could have imagined.
While so many things have gone wrong this year, it lead us to get married in our favorite place, on our 12th anniversary, united with a cosmic Mayan ceremony. An experience of a lifetime.
The universe always has a plan and I know with all my heart this meant to be was ours. I love you Haj and am so thankful so this journey.
P..S. The day after our wedding, under the palapa in the center of the flowers where we were married, a turtles nest hatched - the biggest baby turtles they have ever seen….so many of them. 🐢

Jk! But...if you purchase local, organic (or ideally homegrown!) produce it really does!
Yesterday WashU came out with an article saying that boosting your immune system could be a “treatment strategy” for COVID-19. No s**t.
Although I’m frustrated that it took so long for someone to say this in the news, I’m glad it’s finally happening.
You guys. It isn’t hard. To boost your immune system just start with eating REAL Food - fruits and vegetables especially. EAT THE RAINBOW.
This is my ideal lunch full of healthy fats and protein. It’s colorful, quick, easy, affordable and tastes great!
In additon to fruits and vegetables - add some spices that will add flavor able to kick your immune system into gear. Dr. Bauman has a list of booster foods that will do exactly this!
Blacks pepper, cardamom, cayenne, cinnamon, chili pepper, ginger, garlic, and turmeric to name a few!

At Wholistic Life we follow an Eating for Health model which allows you to listen to your body and fuel it with what it needs at a given time. It’s about eating mindfully and with gratitude.
◾️
As women, our bodies are changing daily, depending on what phase of our cycle we are in and therefore we need different nutrients at different times.
◾️
What works for me will not necessarily work for you, however. There is no “one size fits all” when it comes to Eating for Health.
▪️
One rule we can all follow is eating SOUL foods (seasonal, organic, unrefined/unprocessed and locally). These heirloom tomatoes from are currently in season and so delicious! Make sure to support your local farms. 🖤

Today’s yoga and mediation session with the magical was the most focused one I have had in about a month.:.
June was tough. The world is heavy right now and you may be feeling all the feels — emotionally drained, overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, unmotivated, burnt out, etc. it’s normal and I’m right there with you. :.
In tomorrows Healthy Hour w/ Hayley, we talk about 3 simple ways to cope. I want to emphasize the world simple because that’s exactly what we need right now. Easy tools that won’t feel like extra work. :.
