I normally don't share this part of my life.

My youngest son is on the spectrum with a speech delay...and being his mom is one of the greatest responsibilities I carry.

Behind the business, the patients, and everything I'm building...this is my real life.

I'm learning how to balance it all while helping him grow, communicate, and become more independent every single day.

Lately, I've recently started involving him in small parts of my business...because I want him to feel capable, included and confident in his own way.

This journey isn't always easy, but it's real. And I'm finally ready to share it.

What a fun day today!

I had great intentions of starting my Saturday with an early 6 am Pilates class. And then a walk at 7 am with my friend, Judy. However, 6:14 am rolls around and the instructor is still MIA!

So the 8+ students who showed up as well left. Instead of going home, I went to a nearby park to start my walk.

Plans change, hopefully the Pilates instructor is ok.

Improvise.
Adjust.
And show up anyway!

It's 11 days into 2026 and nothing is lost.

Your body doesn't know the date nor does it keep track of time. Your nervous system doesn't care about January 1st or some other date.

What it does respond to is safety, consistency, and small intentional shifts.

When your nervous system resets, everything else such as energy, sleep, pain and mood begins to follow.

This year doesn't need more pressure. It needs more alignment.

If you could create one new habit that supports your health and nervous system this year...what would it be?

Mine is to laugh and smile more and to lighten up instead of being so serious all the time.

Most people don't fail at health. They just try to do too much, too fast.

Keep it simple. If you haven't worked out or been physically active in a long while, start with short walks 2-3 times a week or get up from your chair and stretch for a few minutes every hour or two.

Support your body with fluids and the right nutrition. It already knows how to heal.

When you have pain, it doesn't always mean "stop." It can sometimes mean for you to "slow down and move gently."

Walking is one of the most underrated tools for calming the nervous system, improving circulation, and reducing pain sensitivity.

You don't have to do everything. You just have to start...one step at a time.

Save this for days your body feels heavy.
