ACCESS(a program of the Auxiliary of Good Samaritan Hospital) has amazing volunteers! Jill Keenan is still volunteering her time to support the ACCESS Food Service Program during this pandemic. She and her son, Brendan went shopping and thanks to them, ACCESS can continue to offer complimentary food and snacks to parents while they are visiting their babies in the NICU. http://goodsamaccess.org/ACCESS/

For the safety of our families and volunteers, we have suspended our RV and Apartment overnight programs. But thanks to the support of our donors and community partners, ACCESS is continuing to support families during this pandemic. We are providing food and snacks for parents in the NICU parent room, we are giving gas cards to families driving back and forth to the hospital and we are providing overnight stays for families in local hotels. This is a quote from a grateful family who has a two year old at home and a newborn in the NICU: “ The hotel has been absolutely wonderful so far this week. My husband and daughter are coming up tonight to have dinner with me, so the kitchenette is perfect. This is such a great service you are able to provide.”

This morning, ACCESS provided coffee and pastries from Blvd. Coffee to the dedicated Housekeeping/Environmental Services team at Good Samaritan Hospital. They are on the frontlines keeping patients and staff healthy and safe. Thank you to Blvd. Coffee owner Humberto Olvera, for taking the delivery himself and for all that you and your family continue to do for the community!
