Recovery Cafe San Jose A place to BELONG and GROW in downtown San Jose. Hours: Monday through Friday from 10am-4pm. Members Our loving accountability empowers growth and recovery.

RCSJ creates community that supports healing from trauma, addiction, homelessness, and mental health challenges. We provide a refuge where members gather for group meals, participate in Recovery Circles, take classes to learn job and life skills, make connections to other community resources, and enjoy social activities in a sober and supportive environment.

The Power of Community in Action
We are deeply grateful for our incredible partners , who dedicated their Beautiful Day Weekend to transforming our space and uplifting our community.
Nearly 100 volunteers came together with kindness, energy, and heart. They deep cleaned every corner, refreshing our walls and floors, and even renovating our bathroom. Their collective effort has breathed new life into our Café, creating a space that truly reflects dignity, care, and belonging for everyone who walks through our doors.

We’re thrilled to announce the addition of new coffee beans to serve our amazing neighbors. A heartfelt thank you to Verve Coffee for partnering with us and donating these wonderful beans. 🎃 A Spooktacular Halloween at the Café! 👻

In between circles and classes, our members, volunteers, and staff came together for a frightfully fun Halloween celebration! From themed treats and playful games to a costume parade, movie time, and prizes. The day was filled with laughter, connection, and community.

It’s never too spooky when you’re surrounded by friends who make every moment brighter.

A huge thank-you to all our amazing volunteers who donated candies, goodies, and their time to make the day extra special! 🍬🕸️

A Place to Belong and Grow

RCSJ is a healing community for those traumatized by addiction, homelessness, and mental health challenges. We provide a refuge where members gather for group meals, participate in Recovery Circles, take classes to learn job and life skills, make connections to other community resources, and enjoy social activities in a safe, sober, and supportive environment. For those interested in joining our community, New Member Orientation is given each Tuesday at 1 PM. Plan to arrive by 12:30 to sign in and get lunch and stay til 2 PM.
