Finding meaning in parenting a disabled child can help you build a bridge from the person you were before your child was born to the person who you are now and who you will become. It can reinforce a worldview, make a worldview crumble, or light a fire inside you. The question is, who are you? Who is the "whole you", in light of, not in spite of, your role as a parent to a disabled child? However you've changed; I hope gratitude is able to shine through all of your parenting struggles.
