Healing Collectively is moving forward on two fronts right now.

The first is developing and offering Somatic and Transpersonal training to existing MFT Marraige and Family therapist additional tools to enable them to be more affective treating patients.

The second is to launch the publication arm of the nonprofit as well. Sharing voices of healing.

We are excited to be moving forward!

Hey everyone this is a new video excerpt from our second Conversations in the Park February 19th 2022!

We discuss anxiety, trauma triggers ,and how to help self-regulate through observation & mindfulness.

We share how internal and external attention to the details of our experience & environment help bring us back to the present to self-regulate and begin to heal.

"It means that we are willing to walk alongside another person in whatever journey they’re on without judging them, making them feel inadequate, trying to fix them, or trying to impact the outcome. When we hold space for other people, we open our hearts, offer unconditional support, and let go of judgement and control."

Holding space is just a gift that we can do for not only one another but also for ourselves.

I honestly forget at times how this is a rare gift in our culture (the pro / con of having circles and tribes who this is engrained in how we are with each other).

"What do you want? What do you need?"
When the first simple answer can be just to be heard, listened to, and seen exactly where we are with all the sensations, emotions, and thoughts that are coming through.

I thank each of those community for being one of those precious who stand heart to heart, witnessing without fixing, judging, or projecting. Teaching other how to do the same for themselves.

The difference between Transformation & Change?

"What's My Motivation?"

We are aware of our external motivations and desires, and I ask ...
What is underneath your words, your actions?
What is underneath your external motivation?
What is speaking to you from within?
The external world helps cue us when we initially believe we are motivated by money, homes, excitement.

Though, what if you started to ask and look underneath the external desires?
Money can buy homes which gives us comfort, safety, security?
A particular job can be service to others; creativity; connection?

HEALTHY BOUNDARIES, SELF-CARE, THE HOLIDAYS

For those in trauma recovery as well as sensitive souls,
boundaries are crucial for caring of your energy and emotions
(especially during the holiday season).

The holiday season is in full swing with food, gatherings, festivities, and celebration.

And for those of us who experience this time differently, it can also be a time of overwhelm, overstimulation, anxiety, exhaustion, & the infamous - emotions swinging all over the place like a crazy roller coaster.

It’s ok – you’re not alone and this is completely normal.

Anxiety may be cuing overstimulation and contact with others. We tend to take in sensory and information on a more heightened level – mental, emotional, somatic, and energetic.

I once I learned how to set boundaries my experience over the holidays completely shifted.

I’m more present in the moment (and not reactive in a triggered state).
I have more heartfelt connections with family and friends, and have found more play and joy during the season.

Give yourself permission to say no.
Give yourself permission to leave when you felt it is time to go.

How can you care for yourself in this moment?
What is it that you need right now?
