Anchor blepharoplasty with ptosis repair, this is not your standard .

This lovely patient was dealing with and asymmetry and multiple eyelid folds. Another subtle finding with this combination of problems is the premature hollowing of the upper eyelids.

After surgery, the eyes are brighter, creases are more even and she has one, sharp, clean crease ❤️. Perfect symmetry? Doesn’t exist, my friends, so don’t chase it.

Facial fat transfer results should be subtle, but meaningful.

This lovely patient was missing the fullness in the temples and cheeks, a common complaint amongst Asians. The challenging part is the anterior cheek. The loss of volume here leads to loss of support of the eye with premature flattening and the illusion of fat herniation.

After the fat transfer the lower eye is supported, the outer eye is also slightly less hooded due to revolumization of the temple. We also contoured her chin area for soft elongation.

Some may say, she already had great volume, and she did. But we all start to notice little things that begin to bother us.

Altogether, little tweaks for that ❤️

Hello Bay Area! It’s good to be back ❤️

So there’s no time like present for a refresh and re-introduction.

My name is Haena (pronounced Hannah) Kim, and I am a double board certified facial plastic surgeon specializing in Asian eyelid surgery with ptosis repair, thoughtful rejuvenatjon of the lower eyelid and face, and rhinoplasty. I believe in bringing out each patient’s natural beauty, and my approach for each patient is individualized.

I love to bridge the surgical with the non-surgical to get you the best result ❤️.

A little about me:

1. I’m the mom to two rambunctious cubs, a 6 year old girl and 2 year old boy.

2. I was a dog mom first, to Enzo, our grumpy old man of a Toy Fox Terrier.

3. I’m the youngest of 3, and yes, we are all doctors

4. I wish we could make hoodies part of the medical uniform

5. I sing to my music playlist when I operate, god bless the OR staff who don’t make me stop ❤️

6. I layer two different sunblocks when I go out

7. I drive with a face mask when it’s sunny 🙃

8. My husband says I have a lead foot when I drive 🥴

9. Every day at 3:30 pm I start stressing about what I’m going to make for dinner (if you have recs for instant pot recipes that a toddler will like, DM me!)
