November is National Homelessness Awareness Month ( ) and National Homeless Youth Awareness Month ( ). 💙🏠

Domestic violence is a leading cause of homelessness for women and children in the United States, and a lack of affordable housing across the country often keeps survivors and their children trapped with abusers.

November is Native American Heritage Month. According to the CDC, 47.3% of all women in the United States have reported experiencing contact sexual violence, physical violence, or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetimes. For non-Hispanic American Indian or Alaska Native women, this number is much higher: 57.7%. This is unacceptable.

NNEDV invites you to follow and support organizations like the Alliance of Tribal Coalitions To End Violence, the National Indigenous Women's Resource Center, and StrongHearts Native Helpline as they work to support Native survivors all year long. 💜
