The Health Advancement for Pacific Islanders (HAPI) program is here to support Pacific Islander families and pregnant women living in Alameda County, California. Oakland, Hayward, Union City, Newark, Fremont, and Berkeley are some cities in Alameda County. We offer:
Health care; health insurance; referrals to social services programs like food stamps, cash assistance, housing; bus passes; gifts for baby; company at your doctor's visit, cultural understanding and encouragement! We also offer presentations and conversations with Pacific Islander communities about Pacific Islander health and perinatal health. ‼️Monday 5/18/2020‼️Alameda County has just issued two new Health Orders today:
1. Shelter in Place Order to permit some retail activities.
2. Order to allow highly regulated vehicle based gatherings.
Health officers from six Bay Area jurisdictions including ALAMEDA COUNTY announced new health orders as Phase 2 of the state’s reopening plan amid COVID19. This means all Bay Area counties are now in Phase 2. See website for more info!

The new shelter-in-place order for six Bay Area counties was officially released today, Wednesday, revealing that some coronavirus restrictions will be eased.
The new order goes into effect May 4 and lasts through May 31 for everyone living or working in the counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara as well as the City of Berkeley.

According to the new order, all construction activities will be permitted, with certain safety protocols in place.
