Our goal is to provide the most unique selection of eyewear on the Central Coast, as well as offer p Eyeworks, and more.

Optometrist, Dr. Schultz and his wife Laurie opened Urban Optics Optometric Center 25 years ago in Downtown San Luis Obispo. Their current location projects a gallery like image and is the perfect setting to display their exclusive selection of unique eyewear. The custom interior, which has won architectural awards and appeared in national publications, is home to frame collections such as Oliver Peoples, Barton Perreira, L.A.

As we get near the end of the year and closer to our big move; here are a few friendly reminders! Please reference the attached calendar that shows our holiday hours through the end of the year.

We want to ensure you have enough time to get a repair, dispense (glasses/contacts) or anything in between. The official last day to pick anything up or come see us at 1001 Higuera St. will be December 31st at 1:00PM. After that we are start moving computers/equipment/tools so our opticians will not be available or be able to get back to you until January 12th, 2026 when we open at 719 Higuera St.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during these times and cannot wait to welcome you all at our new home!
