Special Olympics Southern California - Region 1

Special Olympics changes lives by providing year-round sports training and competition for individuals with intellectual disabilities. It is training for life.

Special Olympics is more than a sports program for people with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics athletes are five times more likely to hold a job than the general population of people with intellectual disabilities. They are also more physically fit, have more friends, and learn to set goals for themselves.

This past Friday we hosted a Local Torch Run at the Camarillo Airport with cadets from the Ventura County Law Enforcement Academy. We were proud to be joined by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, Ventura PD, Oxnard PD, and more. Thank you to everyone who came out to support and be part of such a meaningful event!
