Many people miss out on fully stretching their quads, about 75% of it!

The quadriceps consist of four different muscles, but most people only stretch them in one plane of motion.

As multidimensional athletes, it’s crucial to stretch muscles in multiple directions to get the most out of your mobility work.

Here’s how to make quad stretching more effective:

➡️Begin with tucking the tail and rotating the pelvis while upright. This helps engage the quads more fully.

➡️Next, add motion, take the stretch into the frontal plane and move side to side. This variation stretches different tensions within the tissue.

➡️For an even deeper stretch, add rotation: twist in one direction, hold that tension, then drive forward and back to release even more tightness.

Remember, your hips move in 3D, your quads move in 3D, so your stretches should also be 3D to maximize mobility. Save this tip for later!
