🧡Reclaimed.

Every piece begins with what remains.

Through layers of acrylic, 14k gold, and alcohol inks, these works honor fractures and restore beauty.

Rooted in Isaiah 43:19 — “See, I am doing a new thing…”

Reclaimed reflects renewal, sacred becoming, and the steady movement of hope forward.

These pieces are live! Let me know which is your favorite!

Pursued

24Ă—36 stretched canvas

Perhaps what I loved most about my husband was his pursuit of me.

There is a holy longing in all of us to be pursued- to be known and loved fully.

Though the human touch I once cherished is no longer mine, God has not withdrawn. In His great mercy, He continues to pursue even me, and that pursuit makes the lowest of days worth fighting for.

Friend, YOU are worth fighting for.
“The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in faithful love.” Psalm 103:8

Warm tones, constant motion. 18x24 on canvas

She changes as the light moves, just like perspective.

Sometimes nothing shifts but the way we see it…
and suddenly, everything does.

Stay tuned!

*Reclaimed | A Sneak Peek*

Every piece begins with what remains.

Layers once fractured, surfaces once silent,
now reclaimed through acrylic, 14k gold, and flowing alcohol inks. This new collection, Reclaimed, is born from the same quiet confidence that shaped my last series, The Sparrow.

Reclaimed reflects on the promise of Isaiah 43:19:

See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland.

These works explore what it looks like when beauty is restored. Where gold traces the fractures. Where ink moves freely again. Where something once lost finds voice, direction, and purpose.

This is about renewal. About becoming. About noticing the new thing while it is still forming.

His eye is on the sparrows(s).

2/12.

If you lived through the 90s, Lauren Hills rendition of this incredible song, most likely was playing on the radio, well, at least it was mine after I discovered her in Sister Act II (🤫) The song itself captured my attention as it illuminated one of my favorite passages in scripture.

Finding peace in fields of grief, finding peace in the raging winds, knowing that HE is constantly watching me.

Matthew 10:31

Curious, what does your sky look like right now?

Birds Eye View.

The Sparrow (1/12)

-

The sparrow has a beautiful voice, which carries meaning to other birds with clarity and confidence.

She knows when to use her voice and when to be quiet.

The sparrow is also able to see things from several perspectives - whether from the air, tree, or the complications of ground she has clarity.

Just a common bird, yet, she too is seen - and so are you 🤍

`Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them’ Matthew 6:25

Every artist has that one other artist that seems to breathe not only inspiration but influence into her story.

Years ago for me it was . Through social media, I fell in love with her dynamic power of artistry in heavy strokes of paint that captured visions of angels in the power of the cross.

When Chris discovered that she too was a - he too began to appreciate her incredible creations, with a promise that “we’ll get to her studio”.

Today, to my surprise - the artist who inspired me `to trust my journey’ was in the studio and welcomed us to TN on our way through ♥️

Wings to Fly, a piece that we will forever cherish.

Is it just me - or are sunrises just the most promising reassurance that each day - joy can be found in the morning?

Catching fireflies.

With heavy eyes, up past our bedtimes, Owen and I have been catching fireflies in our backyard in this first midwest summer. For a California girl, who only knows the sting of a mosquito, these magical little flies seem to demand a presence and ignite a little fun.

As I replay the scene of Owen running through the grass with his arms outstretched, all I see is the act of catching light.

When that little firefly chooses to illuminate -she becomes vulnerable and exposed. Purposeful in igniting her fire, she chooses to shine. At the risk of being held, at the risk of being squashed - it’s the light that she carries that ultimately will set her apart.

And as we giggled I asked Owen, “What’s your secret in catching those little lights?” and with childlike confidence, he replied, “There’s no secret Mom, just keep your eyes focused on the light”.

In your light, we see light. Psalm 36:9

As you’ve probably heard by now, this has been an incredibly difficult past two weeks for my family to endure. The heightened emotions in such a time as this have continued to bring me to my knees. The range of emotions and lack of responses all boil down to one word. Humanness.

On February 5th, my husband, the love of my life, Chris Oestreich, passed away. A father, a son, a brother, and a friend. We all have felt the sting of death. Knowing Chris was knowing love. Knowing Chris was knowing a friend. Knowing Chris was knowing that he was the world’s best Daddy and the man who captured and stilled my heart. He is the Gift that my Creator set aside for me.

I’m ever so grateful and humbled by the tremendous outpouring of love and care from around the world. I ask for your continued prayers for God’s ongoing guidance and supernatural nearness in this time of grief.

Chris often told his boys, to “Never trade what you don’t know - for what you do know”. My husband spoke openly about helping people during their greatest heartaches, and he never wanted anyone to be alone. I will live to tell of his beautiful mission of Hope found in the healing of community.

So many have asked for immediate and tangible ways you can support our family. I’d encourage you to visit https://everloved.com/life-of/chris-oestreich/obituary/?flow=201 and share a story of your own on how Chris touched your life. These stories have continued to bless the three of us and will forever be cherished.

A celebration of life is scheduled for June 15th in California - details to come.

I tried to form a gang once, but it turned into a book club.

I’ve lost track on how many years we’ve been doing book club together - but it was officially the first year that Mrs. Claus showed up 🥰
