As we close out Child Abuse Prevention Month, we’re reflecting on the many ways prevention shows up in our work every day.

For our Housing team, it’s about more than responding to challenges. They're dedicated to equipping our families with the skills they need to thrive. As Marie, our Manager of Housing Programs, shares:

“Supporting families through building financial literacy skills… empowers them to meet their needs and create healthy, safe habits.”

By helping families build these skills, we’re creating lasting change. We're supporting stability, strengthening relationships, and helping prevent future crises before they begin.

Thank you for being part of this work. 💙

Small tokens express big feelings. 💙

At a recent Wellness Committee event, our staff took time to slow down and get creative, gathering together to make colorful clay magnets inspired by the things they love—whether it was a butterfly, a favorite anime character, or even a fried egg!

These simple creations gave our team a chance to express themselves, connect, and recharge--all necessary steps for good self-care.

Because we know that when we care for ourselves, we can better care for our community. 🦋 🍳🐛

Meet Haley, one of the incredible Program Supervisors in our Housing Services who helps local families secure housing and build the skills they need for stability and independence.

“I'm inspired by folks who are able to find healing, safety, and growth. For me, healing is deeply connected to finding a sense of belonging—knowing that others are there to offer support and connection. I’m lucky to witness this every day in my work at FCNI.”
— Haley, Program Supervisor, Housing Support Program

Because of dedicated staff like Haley, families in our community are not just finding housing; they’re also finding hope, connection, and a path forward. 💙

Donor impact doesn't just change one life--it can strengthens an entire family. 💙

Because of your support, “Papa” was able to move closer to his son and grandchildren—offering love, stability, and care when they needed it most. Now, he picks the kids up from school, helps with daily routines, and gives their dad the support he needs to keep moving forward.

We're so grateful for support that doesn’t just solve immediate needs. You create connection, relief, and influence lasting stability.

What does prevention look like in action?

For our team, it’s in the everyday moments—parents making it to appointments, youth staying focused in school, and families getting connected to food, housing, and support before challenges turn into crises.

Our Case Manager, Victoria Chipres, shares:
“‘Strong Families, Safe Futures’ is all about helping families thrive rather than just survive… By building trust and addressing needs like housing and food early on, I help prevent crises.”

This Child Abuse Prevention Month, we’re honoring the people who walk alongside families every day—helping create stability, hope, and brighter futures. 💙

Sometimes small shifts make the biggest differences.

Thanks to your generosity, families and youth in our care purchased new storage bins, file folders, and other organizing tools, helping them to tackle “spring cleaning” and create calmer, more manageable spaces.

When life feels organized, it lays a better foundation for stability, focus, and healing. And that’s exactly what you’re making possible.

Thank you for being part of these everyday transformations. 💛

Big news for our community 💙

Family Care Network is proud to announce our newest program: Enhanced Care Management (ECM). Launched in late 2025, ECM will provide coordinated, whole-person care to people experiencing complex health and social needs.

For people dealing with life-impeding adversity--such as housing insecurity or transitioning from systems of care--ECM connects them to the services, resources, and relationships they need to restore their stability and move toward long-term wellness.

Because we know that real change happens when care is personal and connective.

Strong Ties = Safe Spaces

As you read the Josh's words--spoken as a therapists and social workers who works directly with families--we hope you see how important it is for families to build the kid of relationships where healing can happen; where compassion and understanding can grow so that bonds are made and reinforced.

When youth and caregivers feel safe enough to be vulnerable, they can process, rebuild, and grow stronger, together.

This is another way that FCNI supports every day.

What an incredible day at the 5K walk/run hosted by Cass Winery !

We’re so grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a fun, community-centered event that directly supports the work we do at FCNI. Events like this remind us how powerful it is when people come together for a shared (and fun) purpose.

A special thank you to Athlon Fitness & Performance for creating a team and helping promote the event—your enthusiasm and support made a meaningful difference.

Thank you to everyone who walked, ran, and showed up. You’re helping create brighter futures for youth and families. 💛

Your generosity made celebrations possible💙

Thanks to you, our supporters, families and youth who achieved their program goals were honored with "graduation" celebrations, honoring their hard work and growth, and the teams who supported their efforts.

These celebrations are important parts of care. They not only acknowledge and celebrate progress, but they remind those we serve that they're a valued part of a broader community, and that they are cared for deeply.

Thank you for making these celebrations possible.

What does it mean to truly support families?

For Tasha, our Foster Care Manager, it’s about showing up every day—listening without judgment, building trust, and being a steady presence through both challenges and growth.

This Child Abuse Prevention Month, we’re proud to share a glimpse into what “Strong Families, Safe Futures” looks like in action through the words of staff.

Take a moment to scroll through and reflect on the power of connection, consistency, and care. 💙

Thanks to the generosity of you, our community, a new parent was able to purchase much-needed baby care essentials—diapers, wipes, blankets, clothes, and a bag to hold it all, giving him the support he needs to provide a safe and healthy start for his child.

For families navigating new parenthood, especially for our youth who have limited resources and support, empowering them to meet their own needs makes all the difference in their lives, and in the lives of their children. Your donated dollars helped ease stress, promoted stability, and reminded this young man that he is not all on his own.

We love our compassionate community! 💛
