To whom it may concern:
I’m a functional medicine doctor who has been working with chronically ill autoimmune patients for over 20 years. Recently Anthony William came out with information saying that most autoimmune disease is caused by viruses. This was already suspected in the field as at least a partial contributor to autoimmune disease, but has only been accepted as the main causeby a few alternative medicine practitioners, and is typically not accepted by traditional MDs. You see traditional MDs observe antibodies and other parts of the immune system going deep into tissues and then they observe area cells dying. Their assumption is that the immune system is turning on itself and attacking the body. Through experimentation and evaluation with my patients over the last three years, I believe the truth is as Anthony William says which is that what is actually happening is that viruses which are too small to be detected by microscopes are invading the tissues, and when the immune system kills the virus the virus releases toxins which kill the surrounding cells. Since his work came out my treatment protocols have shifted with my patients and the results are incredible when we focus on treating the patient’s immune system and improving its ability to properly handle viruses, which is different from traditional autoimmune treatment protocols which try to mute the immune system’s response generally. This is extremely effective in tamping down “autoimmune” responses. I have put autoimmune in quotes because that is what it is called but I believe the name is incorrect in that we are not actuallyattacking ourself. We are sure to see a rise in “autoimmune” cases due to COVID-19 infection and sadly, vaccines for it also look like they are likely to trigger “autoimmunity”. 😢 It is likely that people experiencing symptoms that are drawn out or “long haulers syndrome” are already developing “autoimmunity”. This can be especially devastating when it affects your nervous system as in MS and what is seen with COVID-19.
