Our Story

Awarded Best Reiki Therapist in Solana Beach 2019, mb massage & bodywork is a small business located in the San Diego area. Maricel is a Certified Massage Therapist and Reiki Master who feels massage therapy and Reiki is a lifestyle that she wishes to share with the world. Her office location is in Solana Beach, California. Maricel was born in San Diego and raised in Temecula, California. She studied at the Healing Hands School of Holistic Arts in Escondido and, shortly after, began working for several chiropractors, spas, and resorts. Maricel has also continued her studies at Balanced Energies Reiki and Shamanism school in Temecula, where she has studied under a shaman. She is now back in San Diego, and ready to continue her adventure in the healing arts. Maricel also studied at a local Sacred Lomi® retreat which is rooted in the lineage of Kahu Abraham Kawai’i. Abraham Kawaii’s lineage is sometimes referred to as Temple Style Lomi, Hawaiian Temple Bodywork, or Kahuna Bodywork. As a Lomi Lomi specialist and Reiki practitioner, she is grateful to see the world through energy, light, and aloha. Maricel practices yoga, tai chi, and meditation, which she incorporates into her body work.

Maricel is a member of the ABMP (Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals), supports America’s Veterans and contributes to the Hometown Hero Project in the San Diego area.
