We are featured in the New York Times today! The importance of compound movementsšŸ˜Compound movements help strengthen your body faster, placing more emphasis on your core and stabilization muscles. Check out the list of moves we created to help you improve balance, increase muscle, improve coordination, and increase your metabolic rate. Compound movements are the foundation of a strong, resilient body — and here’s why šŸ‘‡

When you perform a compound exercise, you’re using multiple joints and muscle groups. Unlike isolation exercises (like bicep curls), compound movements train your body to move the way it was designed to as all muscles work together.

Here’s what makes them so powerful:

šŸ”¹ **They build strength the powers your day-to-day life**
Your body doesn’t function one muscle at a time. Standing up, carrying groceries, climbing stairs all require multiple muscles working together. Compound lifts improve neuromuscular coordination, meaning your brain and muscles communicate more efficiently.

šŸ”¹ **They stimulate more muscle growth**
Because multiple muscle groups are engaged, compound exercises create greater mechanical tension and metabolic stress. This leads to a stronger anabolic (muscle-building) response compared to single-joint movements alone.

šŸ”¹ **They boost hormone response**
Large, multi-joint exercises can stimulate a greater acute release of hormones like testosterone and growth hormone, which play a role in muscle development and recovery.

šŸ”¹ **They burn more calories**
More muscle involvement = higher energy demand. Compound movements increase your heart rate and oxygen consumption, making them efficient for both strength and fat loss.

šŸ”¹ **They improve joint stability and mobility**
When performed with proper technique, compound lifts strengthen the muscles surrounding your joints, improving long-term stability and reducing injury risk.

šŸ”¹ **They save time**
Training chest, shoulders, and triceps together with a press is far more efficient than training each muscle separately. You get more results in less time.

Try some of these moves and let me know how it goes!

šŸ”„ WHY HIIT IS A GAME-CHANGER FOR WEIGHT LOSS šŸ”„

If you’re short on time but serious about results… HIIT is your best friend. šŸ’Ŗ

High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) combines short bursts of intense effort with brief recovery periods — and the benefits are powerful:

✨ **Burn More in Less Time**
HIIT workouts torch a high number of calories in 60 minutes or less.

✨ **Boost Your Metabolism**
You keep burning calories even *after* your workout is over (hello, afterburn effect šŸ‘).

✨ **Preserve Lean Muscle**
Unlike steady-state cardio, HIIT helps maintain muscle while reducing body fat — giving you that toned, strong look.

✨ **Improves Heart Health**
It strengthens your cardiovascular system while building endurance.

✨ **Efficient & Empowering**
Perfect for busy women who want maximum results without spending hours in the gym.

At our studio, we focus on safe, effective HIIT sessions designed specifically for women — so you get stronger, leaner, and more confident every week. šŸ’•

You either love it or hate it, but pumpkin season is in full swing!

If you love a good pumpkin treat like pumpkin pie, pumpkin muffins, or even a pumpkin spice latte…

You’re going to love the smoothie recipe I have for you today.

This recipe is a great way to enjoy all that warm, cozy pumpkin spice goodness without lots of added sugar — and it even has 20 grams of protein!

Here’s the recipe…

Ingredients:
1/2 cup pure pumpkin puree
1 med banana
6-8 ice cubes
6 oz Greek yogurt
1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 tsp honey or maple syrup
3-4 Tbsp of your favorite milk
pinch of nutmeg (optional garnish)

Directions:

In a blender, combine pumpkin, banana, ice, yogurt, spice, agave nectar and milk.

Then, pulse until smooth.

If you want to reduce the thickness, just add more milk. Give it a quick taste and adjust the sweetness if needed.

Finally, pour into a glass and top with a pinch of nutmeg to enjoy!

Each cup is about 290 calories with only 3g of fat, 49g of carbohydrates, and 7g of fiber.

Blend it up in the morning for a quick breakfast on the go, or use it as a healthy swap if you’re trying to reduce your sugar intake!

Give it a try and let me know what you think!

As busy moms - it’s hard to prioritize our health and well being. Are you feeling stuck in the same cycle? Trying to eat healthy while dodging cake and sweets at birthdays and events? Living on granola bars and take out?

You CAN eat the foods you love in moderation. You can get your pre- baby body back. NOW is the time for you to prioritize your health and well being.

This is why strength training works.

Have you heard about Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption (EPOC)? It’s an important concept to understand in order to maximize your fitness results!

EPOC refers to the increased oxygen intake that occurs after a workout to restore the body to its pre-exercise state. This process is also known as the ā€œafterburn effectā€ because your body continues to burn calories even after you’ve finished exercising.

Here’s why EPOC matters:
1ļøāƒ£ Calorie Burn: EPOC can significantly increase your calorie burn post-workout, helping you achieve your weight loss or fitness goals faster.
2ļøāƒ£ Metabolic Boost: The elevated oxygen consumption stimulates your metabolism, leading to increased energy expenditure throughout the day.
3ļøāƒ£ Fat Loss: EPOC has been linked to greater fat oxidation, making it a valuable component of fat loss programs.
4ļøāƒ£ Cardiovascular Benefits: The afterburn effect can improve cardiovascular health by enhancing oxygen delivery and utilization in the body.
To optimize EPOC:
šŸ”„ Include high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and strength training in your workout routine. This is what we do in every session!

It’s not a magic formula or pill. We maximize your precious time in the studio so you see results in HALF THE TIME!

Can’t wait to help you change!
