Why this matters beyond one event

CIP’s trainings do more than educate clinicians. They help strengthen referral confidence, increase community awareness, and support a nonprofit model that keeps psychotherapy accessible on a sliding scale.

Children who are slow to warm up tend to process more information before acting. Parents can help by preparing their children in advance for new situations, maintaining routines, and introducing changes gradually. Ultimately, children who are slow to warm up often develop into thoughtful, observant, and emotionally intelligent adults. Their ability to notice details, think before acting, and form deep relationships is a strength.

For in person therapy in Marin, call the Community Institute for Psychotherapy at 415-459-5999 x102.

Children who are slow to warm up aren’t broken; they’re careful, observant, and uniquely gifted.

For clinicians, trainees, and anyone who values strong mental health care

This study group focuses on one of the most important clinical skills: developing a case formulation and treatment focus for the challenging patient. Jonathan Shedler, PhD will help participants think more clearly about complex treatment situations.

When you support CIP, you support both serious professional training and affordable psychotherapy access for people in our community.

Seeing the world the same way your partner does can reduce uncertainty and make life more meaningful, especially during chaotic times. Ways to build a shared sense of reality include taking time for open communication, shared activities, and reflecting on memories and goals.

If you are seeking a couples therapist, contact the Community Institute for Psychotherapy at 415-459-5999 x102.

The pressure to prove activates stress responses that hinder clear thinking and team collaboration. Defensiveness rises, collaboration falters, and trust erodes. An improving mindset, by contrast, is rooted in curiosity and connection. It invites reflection, rather than reaction.

For in person therapy in Marin, call the Community Institute for Psychotherapy at 415-459-5999 x102.

What if your biggest leadership breakthrough isn’t about proving yourself—but improving every day? Discover the mindset shift that fuels trust, growth, and real impact.
