Patricia is a Nationally Board Registered Interventionist and Addiction Specialist who has conducted hundreds of successful Interventions both in Canada and in the U.S. She is a member of the California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals and holds an accredited Certification in Addiction Studies. Patricia is a Licensed Advanced Alcohol Drug Counselor (LAADAC), a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC II), and a long standing member of the Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation, as well as an Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counsellor through the ICRC (I.C.A.D.C), and is also a Board Certified Intervention Professional (CIP/PCB) through the Pennsylvania Certification Board. Patricia is highly trained and educated with over 26 years’ experience in working in the Addiction and Mental Health fields, and whose practice is focused on Complex Mental Health issues and Addiction, and working with adults, adolescents, and families. Ms. Pike is also draws on her own personal experience of recovery for over 26 years. She holds citizenship in both the U.S. and Canada which gives her the diverse perspective of working in both countries. Ms. Pike is the founder of CanAm Interventions in 2011, Co-Founder of Addiction Fighters and the Intervention Hotline. She also is an Intervention Educator since 2013 that has developed an Intervention Training Manual and methods and provides training seminars internationally, with the goal of strengthening and educating other professionals in the areas of interventions and family case management services. Patricia’s best practice approaches include; family interventions, complex mental health interventions, attachment interventions, love addiction interventions, codependency and relational interventions, addiction interventions, alcohol interventions, and behavioral interventions. Using various therapeutic models such as; the family systemic intervention approach, surprise interventions approach, the solution-focused therapy model, narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, the disease model, attachment theory, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and the model of change approaches. Patricia’s past experience; she has worked professionally in many different roles in Vancouver, BC, Canada and the San Francisco (Bay area), both in the nonprofit and private sectors .Her direct experience includes; addiction and mental health inpatient & outpatient programs, addiction educator with the college of physician and surgeons and community medical research clinics.
