Animal Reiki Source provides a unique healing and educational program that combines Japanese Reiki meditation practices with teachings about the sensitivities, preferences and wisdom of our animal teachers. Due to the simplicity and profound effectiveness of the Let Animals Lead® method, thousands of students from all over the world have incorporated these techniques into their lives with great healing success. Many shelters and sanctuaries have also adopted this method as a way to bring peace and comfort to the animals in their care. The Let Animals Lead® method offers simple meditation techniques that anyone can do, that help us to open our hearts to animals as teachers and healers. Hi, I’m Kathleen Prasad, and I’m so glad you’re here! Even though I’ve been pioneering the field of Animal Reiki for over 22 years, have taught thousands of animal lovers this sacred healing art, written multiple books on the subject, authored the Code of Ethics for the profession and have created the world’s first and only nonprofit dedicated to helping rescued animals with Reiki, I’m also a California girl, wife and mother to a teenager, dog and a horse. I’ve faced breast cancer twice in the past several years and am passionate about the ability of Animal Reiki to guide us through even the most difficult and dark times with courage and grace.

What is Animal Reiki? The Let Animals Lead® method of Animal Reiki teaches animal-guided healing through meditation. This unique perspective on healing helps humans support animals with peaceful acceptance, and through the letting go of judgment, worries, the need to fix and the need to control outcome. It’s also a powerful tool for self-healing!

Animal Reiki Source® is my teaching academy and home to my Let Animals Lead® method of Animal Reiki.

I’ve created the Let Animals Lead® method not just as a bold new approach to Animal Reiki, but also as a model for holistic healing that is animal-led and supports living with compassion and loving-kindness in the world. This method has its foundation in my human-focused Reiki training but uses a different and unique animal-centric approach where animals guide the sessions by their preferences and choices and are honored as spiritual teachers.
