Just one week post knee surgery and we're already seeing incredible progress. From restoring basic range of motion and activating with resistance bands to performing controlled single leg squats on a 24 inch box and now progressing to 30 inches.

It is amazing what the body can do when it receives the right stimulus and guided movement.

Last Tuesday I had knee surgery. After 7 days of functional movement, bands, soft tissue work, and contralateral movements, I’m already able to do this with a 7.5 lb rope.

The Dumbbell Deadbug is one of the safest ways to build core stability as you age. It trains the trunk to stay steady while the arms and legs move, which is exactly what your body needs for safer rotation and everyday movement.

Keep the movement slow. Press your lower back gently into the floor. Lift the dumbbells only high enough to feel your core switch on. The goal is control, not strain.

Ken is 87 years young. Today he helped me carry my tools to the halfway mark with 13 pounds on his back for the first time.

What looks simple is actually meaningful work. A light load, steady steps, and enough distance to challenge balance, trunk control, and walking strength.

For aging athletes, especially golfers, these small, repeatable efforts build confidence and support joint health. They improve how the hips and spine share load, which carries over to daily movement and the golf swing.

Progress doesn’t need to be intense. It needs to be appropriate, measurable, and safe.

So proud of Mary 👏 72 years young and getting stronger every year.

The Get-Up is one of the best exercises for ageing well because it trains real-life movement, not just muscles. It improves:
