Transforming lives of children who are deaf or hard of hearing around the world, through parent empowerment, professional development, and public awareness. We believe that the life of a child who is deaf or hard of hearing is transformed when empowered parents partner with knowledgeable and skilled professionals within supportive communities. We envision an inclusive world where all children who are deaf or hard of hearing, irrespective of their location and financial resources, can achieve their personal best

Our Programs
Parent Empowerment – Parents and family members of children who are deaf or hard of hearing participate in individual or group parent education sessions to learn about hearing loss, hearing technology, language development, as well as how they can be their child’s best advocate. Professional Development – Professionals working with children who are deaf or hard of hearing participate in online training and individual coaching sessions to enhance their knowledge and skills related to listening and spoken language intervention and auditory-verbal practice. Participants can pursue LSLS Certification. Scholarships are available for participants based on merit, need, and potential impact. Public Awareness – Families, professionals, and anyone interested in working with children who are deaf or hard of hearing can participate in ongoing free webinars on topics related to hearing loss, listening and spoken language intervention, and mainstreaming. Webinars are presented in English and Hindi.

After an incredible 2025 pilot, we are back to empower a new cohort of parent leaders and professionals in the DHH community through Preparing Professionals and Parents in the Rehabilitation and Education of Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Children (Project PrePPaRE-DHH).

What makes us different? We don’t just teach theory; we build partnerships. In our virtual classroom, parents and professionals learn side-by-side, sharing perspectives that transform how we support children who are deaf or hard of hearing.

🎓 Led by Active Clinical Practitioners This program is designed and taught by Dr. Uma Soman, PhD, LSLS Cert. AVEd. with support from Shahida Mogar, M.Ed. (HI), LSLS Cert. AVT. Their expertise is grounded in the current, daily realities of LSL intervention. Because they work directly with families every week, your instruction will be both evidence-based and directly applicable to your daily work.

Professionals: Educators, SLPs, and Audiologists looking to build a strong foundation in LSL intervention for 0-6 year old children and take the first step toward LSLS® Certification.

2025 के सफल पायलट प्रोजेक्ट के बाद, हम एक बार फिर प्रोजेक्ट PrePPaRE-DHH के ज़रिए पेरेंट लीडर्स और प्रोफेशनल्स को सशक्त बनाने के लिए तैयार हैं। 🤝

हमें क्या अलग बनाता है? हम सिर्फ 'थ्योरी' नहीं सिखाते, बल्कि 'पार्टनरशिप' बनाना सिखाते हैं। हमारी वर्चुअल क्लासरूम में, पेरेंट्स और प्रोफेशनल्स एक साथ सीखते हैं। यहाँ एक-दूसरे के अनुभवों से जो सीख मिलती है, वो DHH बच्चों की प्रोग्रेस को पूरी तरह बदल देती है।
🎓 एक्टिव क्लिनिकल प्रैक्टिशनर्स के साथ सीखने का मौका इस प्रोग्राम को डॉ. उमा सोमन, PhD, LSLS Cert. AVEd. ने शाहिदा मोेगर, M.Ed. (HI), LSLS Cert. From Cradles, to Classrooms, to Communities 🌍✨

This World Hearing Day, we are joining the global call: Hearing care for every child! At Listening Together, our focus is on the first 6 years of life. We believe in empowering the parents, educators, and therapists who are a child's most influential guides during these critical early years. By educating the adults who surround our children, we ensure every deaf and hard-of-hearing child walks into their first classroom ready to succeed.

To celebrate , we’re proud to announce our three core initiatives for 2026-2027:

Knowledge is Power: An 8-week parent education series for families in their first year of the journey (Starting March–April).

Project SPHURTI: A pilot program empowering preschool teachers in Maharashtra to support DHH students in early childhood.

Project PrePPaRE-DHH: A 6-month online bridging course for professionals and parent leaders, approved by the AG Bell Academy.
